Communications Protocols: TCP

Communications Protocols: TCP TCP is our next protocol.  Its connection oriented and means Transmission Control Protocol. In this lesson we’ll explore what that entails, how it works, and how it differs from UDP. For example, you’ll learn the term “handshake” and come to understand why it’s essential to the transmission process and where it occurs. You’ll learn why its head byte size is larger, how error checking is performed, and what’s met by “packet stream” and why it cuts them to facilitate the transmission process.
