Next we examine how the components on the motherboard communicate, they do this thru the BUS; you can define the BUS as the motherboards communication path or highway. A bus speed refers to how much data is passing by every second or every time we have a clock cycle inside of that computer, and that data travels the highway.  You’ll learn the difference between 32 bit and 64 bit¸ speed variations, and how they define a buses capability, as well as the types of software each motherboard is able to run. You’ll learn about three (3) types of buses – address, data and expansion, and how these information pathways connect computing systems to, as well as what the term “megahertz” refers to and how its calculated.
