Hi, guys. Welcome to analyze phase analyzed whole gates. I'm Catherine Nick Iver, and today you'll have the ability to identify the analyzed phase tollgate.
So congratulations, Thea. Analyze Phase is usually one of the more difficult phases in ah dah make project because of the amount of work that has to be done and the amount of tick, typically more measurements and going back to the drawing board so analyzes one of the heavy lifting phases
and you guys have completed it.
So when we are done, we know that we're done because we have a list of root causes. We we know what is what are our exes that are driving the wise that we're looking to change. We have done some data analysis, So when we talk about data analysis, we're going to be talking about
defect prioritization, root cause analysis for this course. We haven't gone very heavy into statistical analysis, but we have developed some hypotheses. Then we're going to know some gaps between current state and objectives identified. So when we are doing our data analysis, we have our root cause analysis.
We have our current state process map
where we have our our value add non value add and our waste captured. So those were going to be gaps where we want to move away from. We have also done some best practices or some benchmarking, so we know what could be. That doesn't necessarily say that we're committing to that. But we're aware of what some of the opportunities are so
takeaways from
analyze are we want to know our root causes and our independent variables. If possible, we'd like to know the magnitude of those. So remember we talked about how we determine magnitude in each of our root cause Analysis tools. And we wanna have the following pieces of documentation.
We wanna have either hissed a gram or a parade. Oh, chart. And we wanna have the documentation of that root cause analysis
in addition to any of the summary notes around the data that we've collected. If you happen to have done some benchmarking, you're going to want to include that. And then, of course, you're going to want your current state process map.
So when we wrap up with are analyzed tollgate, what we want to know is how do we communicate our sponsor that the team understands the process and has identified areas for improvement. So now we're going from that very high level of Here's our problem statement. Here's our objective statement
to how are we actually going to get there? So
current state process map is a great starting point for that because you already know your value, add in your non value it and if you think back to the parade Oh, principal of that 80 20 rule. Generally, it manifests that only 20% of the activities in your process are truly value. Add
So those are your opportunities for improvement.
In addition to as long as you understand your drivers. So you understand what are the things that you are looking to change and what are causing the outcomes that you're seeing. You should be ready to move into our next phase, which is improved. So I will see you guys there
