now that we have a basic understanding of cloud computing. Let's talk about Microsoft. Azure
Azure is Microsoft's solution for cloud computing. It is a service provided by data centers across the globe.
Azure is accessible by using a Web browser and navigating to the azure portal at https portal dot Asher dot com.
They're also more programmatic ways of accessing a managing azure, such as the azure CLI as your power show module in AP eyes that could be utilized in other languages
at the time of this recording, Microsoft has 54 Asher regions, including recent ones opened in South Africa and the Middle East.
Some locations are used for commercial business, while others are specifically for government cloud use on Lee, such as data sitters found in Texas and the East Coast.
No matter where you are located, Azure has a data center available for you and your organization to build your next generation solutions.
We'll see more of these regions and later modules when we start building. Resource is during our demonstrations.
Microsoft has over 600 service is available on Azure, including compute
data management, messaging, content, delivery networks, machine learning, Blockchain and Internet of things or I ot
through. The remainder of this course will be examining some of these. Service is more in depth and learn more about what azure can provide for your organization. All the while we study for the A C 300 exam.
Well, we've reached the end of our lesson where we explore the foundations of cloud computing and Microsoft solution called azure.
So what is cloud computing?
At its most basic definition, Cloud computing is the delivery of computing. Resource is over the Internet. This is a foundational concept that we're going to continue to explore in this course. Or, as the joke often goes, the cloud is just someone else's computer,
which is mostly correct. You're using servers, networking and storage hosted by someone else instead of your own data center.
