Instructors, researchers, thought leaders, speakers, bloggers and so on. The people that stand out because they dedicate themselves to spreading knowledge and helping advance the field of cyber security, are Subject Matter Experts (SME). Since Cybrary is also dedicated to advancing the field of cyber security through free learning, we believe that it is our duty to expose our community to the people who dedicate themselves to the same mission. The SME designation does not require any additional commitments or obligations on Cybrary. Instead it is a commitment from our team that if you (the SME) keep helping to advance the industry, we will help to share your knowledge.
How to Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Cybrary
The Subject Matter Expert (SME) designation is an exclusive designation on Cybrary. Therefore, it is by invite only. Cybrary staff and current SME’s actively scour the cyber security industry. When we identify a thought leader, our team will reach out to that person with a personal invitation.
The Promotion of SME’s on Cybrary
As stated, our primary goal is to advance the cyber security industry through free learning. When someone becomes a SME on Cybrary, our team works to help publicize and promote their message, simply because we believe they have something to offer the general population of the industry. We will use tools like our social media channels, website, email list and others to help promote the knowledge of the SME to our following and community. SME’s are also granted the ability to write blog posts on Cybrary, which reaches massive audiences.
Again, a SME on Cybrary is a designation granted through internal team invite only. SME’s may nominate other SME’s but we do not accept external nominations at this time. Cybrary instructors are SME’s at their craft. If you have a particular strength in cyber security that you believe the industry should know, we can consider your idea for a class.
