Executing Advanced PKI Concepts:

Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) is a set of hardware, software, personnel, policies, and methods required to create, manage, administer, implement, store, and revoke digital certificates. In cryptography, a PKI is a configuration that binds public keys with each user identity through the use of a certificate authority (CA). The user identity must be uniquely applied within each CA domain. The binding is formed in the registration and application process, and depending on the level of security the binding has, it may be executed by software at a CA, or under designated supervision.

How is PKI binding authorized?
