Things at Physical Layers:
1- Cables
2- Repeaters.
3- Hubs.

* If a Device works in layer 3 that means he works on all below Layers
Ex: Router is Layer 3 Device (Network) that means it works in Layers 2 & 1 Also.

* Cable Type:
– Xbase-T Known AS (Ethernet Cabling),

– X:stand for Speed in Mbit
– BaseLand Signaling: one signal on the wire at a time.
– BroadBand Signalling: more than one signal on the wire at a time.
– T:Stand for twisted pair.

* Type On Cables:
– Crossover: in-between similar Devices Ex: From Switch to Switch/Router to Router.
– Straight Thru: in-between Different device type Ex: PC to Switch/Router to Switch.

* what does a Hub Do:
– A hub takes a signals in one Port and Floods it out all other ports except the one originated the signal.
