    Hi Folks:

    I’m trying to follow the video of “The Journeyman String Server”, however I got an error when i try to execute the jorneymantest3() from JourneymanActivitiesTest.py

    My OS is Kali, the process i have followed is to execute the server in one terminal and then the JourneymanActivitiesTest.py in another terminal. Is there something I’m missing or doing wrong?

    This is the error from the console executing the server:

    root@kali:~/python# python JourneymanStringServer.py
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File “JourneymanStringServer.py”, line 18, in <module>
    main()
    File “JourneymanStringServer.py”, line 12, in main
    s.bind((HOST , PORT))
    File “/usr/lib/python2.7/socket.py”, line 228, in meth
    return getattr(self._sock,name)(*args)
    socket.error: [Errno 98] Address already in use

    This is the error from the console executing the test script:

    root@kali:~/python# python JourneymanActivitiesTester.py
    ** omitting the other tests.

    Thanks in advanced for your help.

    in JourneyStringServer.py, move those 2 lines for socket server ‘s’ before the loop, just let s.listen(1) remain
    it worked for me. hope this helps
