    I wonder why every foundational course is labeled as 101 and not 1 ,2, 3 etc.

    @creativerajit, the numbering scheme is similar to how schools do it. Courses in the 100s are beginner (freshman) level classes, 200s are sophomore, etc. Also, this lets you have a sequence of classes at the beginner level, such as 101, 102, 103, etc.
