Effective phishing prevention requires automation and the deployment of technical controls, but technical controls can only counteract the automated part of a phishing attack.
Phishing prevention depends on human behavior and other unpredictable factors like human
cognition, awareness, suspiciousness and even chance, in order to counteract the social engineered part of a phishing attack. The use of automated social-engineered messages –the single feature that characterizes phishing –forms at the same time a remarkable challenge to phishing prevention.
It is a well known fact that the phishing is evolving. What are your experiences and thoughts?
