Hi, I was just starting CCNA Training Videos on Cybrary. I would just like to ask if you can give me some of your training plans as well as review or course materials that cover all CCNA topics? Material that can provide easier lesson understanding and explanation would be better. Thank you 🙂

i found a good ccna practice exam app on google playstore. good questions to practice. also there are several CCNA study guide pdfs u can download online. i still think a real book from the library is better but to each his own. focus on layer 2-4 ccna is about data link, network and transport layers. everything else is outside the scope of ccna.. u might be asked a couple questions about layer 1 but mostly layers 2-4. learn the routing protocols and router protocols and learn to subnet in ur head. i suggest learning to count by 16’s from 0-256. 16 32 48 64 80 96 112 128 144 160 176 192 208 224 240 256. this will come in handy.

Hello there, what I did, is I downloaded the latest version of packet tracer. I then had @robertone build a lab for me, that way I could do the labs as I followed along with the videos. Just used a handy pen and paper for the lectures. And used the virtual labs for the labs. I also have a Cisco http://www.amazon.com/CCNA-Routing-Switching-Study-Guide/dp/1118749618 that I got for bookwork. So far spending a couple weeks using all of these things, I’ve gotten a bit of knowledge. If you need the packet tracer lab, I can send it to you.

If you can get your hands on Packet Tracer it will allow you to test your layout before configuring the devices. Also, GNS3 is another good option. The drawback, the required IOS is not free. No need to go overboard for the CCNA, trying to keep it simple.
