Introduction

Lab Duration

It will take approximately 1 hour to complete this lab.

Exercise 1 - Configure Internet Options

The Internet Options window contains functions that are related to the Internet connection.

For example:

  • Security configuration
  • General parameters
  • Default page
  • Privacy settings
  • Connection set-up

These settings take care of the security, accessibility, and privacy aspects of an internet connection.

Exercise 2 - Configuring User Accounts Settings

A user account has a number of features associated with it. Some of these features are listed below:

  • Account’s name
  • Account password
  • Account picture
  • Account type

In this exercise, you will learn to configure the user account settings.

  • Configure a Local User Account
  • Configure User Account Control Settings

Exercise 3 - Performing System Configuration

System options section contains information about system software and hardware. Some of the functionalities available are:

  • Performance related settings
  • Remote settings
  • System restore settings
  • In this exercise, you will work with the system configuration options.
