Exercise 1 - Installing File Server Role

In this exercise, you will learn the following using Microsoft Windows Server R2:

  • Configuring additional roles in the File Server
  • Configuring auditing for files and folders

Exercise 2 - Configuring Auditing for Files and Folders

Auditing means monitoring and this monitoring helps in solving security issues. We can audit the events in windows server. We can configure the audit policies for files and folders. The administrator can monitor the user accounts and groups. He can also keep a track of the login/logoff status of all the users.
