Overview
Introduction
The Understand Accounts and Groups module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Manage Users Accounts
- Create Groups and Add Users to Groups Using AGDLP Strategy
Exercise 1- Manage Users Accounts
In this exercise, you will learn the following using Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2:
- Demonstrate and show the steps to create a domain user account
- Create groups with different scopes and types
- Add users to a group using AGDLP strategy and set the user’s profile path
Exercise 2 - Create Groups and Add Users to Groups Using AGDLP Strategy
There are three scopes of groups, namely Domain Local, Global, and Universal. The group scope control the visibility of the groups in an organization that owns more than one Active Directory domain.
