Introduction
The Troubleshoot Client Connectivity module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Troubleshoot AutoDiscover
- Troubleshoot Web Services
- Troubleshoot POP/IMAP
- Troubleshoot Outlook Anywhere
Exercise 1 - Troubleshoot AutoDiscover
When a new mailbox user is signs on for the first time to his inbox, the Autodiscover service streamlines the creation of the messaging profile. You may encounter errors at times when a new profile is created on a client workstation.
Exercise 2 - Troubleshooting Web Services
Exchange Server 2013 makes the shift to a web-based administration tool called Exchange admin centre for administering the servers in a graphical user interface.
Exercise 3 - Troubleshoot POP/IMAP
POP3 and IMAPv4 are mail download protocols not widely used in a corporate environment setting. These protocols may come handy if Outlook 2013 is used to download email from third party e-mail services.
Exercise 4 - Troubleshooting Outlook Anywhere
Outlook Anywhere formerly known as RPC over HTTPS gives Outlook users the capability to connect to Exchange Server without the need for a VPN connection.
