The Monitor Application Deployment module provides you with the instructions and devices to develop hands on skills in the following topics:
- Send package to distribution points
- Update package data on distribution points
- Create a distribution point group
- Manage self-signed certificates in Configuration Manager
- Configure SQL Server Reporting Services
- Install Reporting Services Point on a Site System
Exercise 1 - Working with Distribution Points
In this exercise, you will learn to work with distribution points. Distribution points help to store source files that are required by packages to run on client computers. You should specify at least one distribution point for each site from where the client can download the source files that are needed by packages.
Exercise 2 - Working with Distribution Point Groups
In this exercise, you will learn to create distribution point groups. A distribution point group is a logical group of distribution points. The entire content received by a distribution point group is available to all the distribution points in that group.
Exercise 3 - Configure Reporting
In this exercise, you will learn to configure reporting in SCCM 2012. SCCM 2012 allows creating, modifying and running reports. It uses SQL Server Reporting Services for reporting solutions. However, to take advantage of the features of SQL Server Reporting Services, you need to integrate SCCM 2012 with SQL Server Reporting services.
