Introduction
The Manage Test Scripts module provides you with the instructions and devices to develop your hands on skills in the following topics.
- Configuring and running scheduled tests
Exercise 1 - Configure and Run Scheduled Tests
Visual Studio, Team Foundation Version Control and Team Foundation Build allow you to run tests after a build has completed to evaluate the quality of your build. These tests are often called build verification tests (BVTs) or smoke tests. BVTs typically contain a broad suite of tests to verify key areas of an application in a particular build.
In this exercise, you will first set up a build machine. You will then define your build. You will then queue the build using the Team Foundation Build that will eventually run the tests if the build is successful.
