The Implement Data Load Options module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Performing Data Loads
- Incremental Data Load
- Performing Incremental Data Load with Change Data Capture
Exercise 1 - Performing Data Loads
In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft SQL Server 2012:
- Using OLE DB Destination to perform Full Data Load
- Using dynamic SQL to implement incremental data load
Exercise 2 - Incremental Data Load
In this task, you will create two tables: a source table and a staging table. You will load the two tables with rows from the AdvntureWorks2012 database table. You will then modify data in the staging table by performing update, delete, and insert operations. You will then create an SSIS package, which will use the Merge Join transformations and a Conditional Split transformation to extract only the modified data from the staging table to perform an incremental data load. Your package will use OLE DB Destination adapter and OLE DB Command tasks to load the modified data onto the source table by creating appropriate dynamic SQL statements.
Exercise 3 - Performing Incremental Data Load with Change Data Capture
In this exercise, you will learn the following in SQL Server 2012:
- Performing incremental data load using Change Data Capture (CDC)
