The Identify and Resolve Concurrency Problems module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:

- Monitoring Data and Server Access
- Monitoring via DMV
Exercise 1 - Examining Deadlock Issues
In this exercise, you will perform the tasks required to identify and resolve concurrency problems.
Exercise 2 - Creating Alerts on Critical Server Condition
SQL Server can configured to issue alerts when a server reaches a critical condition or if a system issue is detected by the database engine.
Exercise 3 - Monitoring Data and Server Access
SQL Server Management Studio provides built-in data and server access monitoring for applications and users that use the SQL database.
Exercise 4 - Monitoring via DMV
You can use the Dynamic Management Views to monitor the current as well as the historical data on SQL Server that you are managing. A DMV, when run, returns the state information that you can use as the monitoring input for your SQL Server.
