Lab Duration
It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete this lab.
Exercise 1 - Working with Slide Masters and Layouts
In PowerPoint, you can format individual slides to make them all conform to a theme or look. However, a much simpler and quicker way to make your slides conform to a theme or style is by using slide masters and layouts.
Exercise 2 - Headers and Footers
Headers and footers provide a convenient way to place important recurring information in presentations. In PowerPoint, a header is recurring information displayed at the top of a handout or notes page. A footer is recurring information displayed at the bottom of a slide, handout, or notes page.
In this exercise, you’ll add and then modify a footer.
Exercise 3 - About Layouts
In Slide Master view, by default, the Slides pane contains a single slide master, called the Office Theme Slide Master. Subordinate to it are 11 individual slide "layouts" - each offering a different design that can be applied to specific slides.
In this exercise, you’ll apply a layout to a slide.
