Overview

Introduction

The Failover Clustering module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:

  • Configuring Windows Clustering
  • Installing a SQL Server Failover Cluster
  • Implementing the AlwaysOn Feature

Exercise 1 - Configuring Windows Clustering

In this module, you will perform the tasks required to configure a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 cluster.

Exercise 2 - Installing a SQL Server Failover Cluster

To install the SQL Server Failover Cluster, you will need to first install it on one of the cluster nodes. In this exercise, you will perform the installation on PLABDCLUS01.

Exercise 3 - Implementing the AlwaysOn Feature

In this exercise, you will perform the tasks required to configure AlwaysOn for Microsoft SQL Server 2012.
