  • FC0-U51 1.1 Compare and contrast common operating systems and their functions and features (Awareness of hardware compatibility for OS support, 32-bit vs. 64-bit operating systems)

Exercise 1 - Installing Software of Varying Bit-sizes on 64-bit Platform

In this exercise, you will attempt to install a 32-bit device driver on Windows x64 system, to test its compatibility. In addition, you will install a 32-bit and a 16-bit application on an x64 OS. Please note that these are only simulated installations, as the actual device driver will not work in the virtual machines designated for this lab.
