Exercise 1 - Working with Dimensions

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft SQL Server 2012:

  • Demonstrate the creation of Type 2 Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) with the appropriate surrogate key
  • Demonstrate adding data lineage for a dimension table

Exercise 2 - Working with Fact Tables

In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft SQL Server 2012:

  • Demonstrate the creation of a fact table
  • Partition a fact table
  • Create a column store index on a fact table
  • Demonstrate adding data lineage for a fact table
