Lab Duration
It will take approximately 30 minutes to complete this lab.
Exercise 1 - Working with Notes Pages
Notes are a powerful way to enhance your presentation and connect with your audience. In PowerPoint, there are a number of options for adding and working with notes.
In this exercise, you will add and work with slide notes pages.
Exercise 2 - Presenter View
As your presentation nears completion, you'll want to try running it to make sure that the final product is as you envisioned it. PowerPoint's Presenter view is a powerful tool for testing your slide show, as well as ultimately presenting it to an audience.
In this exercise, you'll explore the Presenter view and PowerPoint's Rehearsal mode.
Exercise 3 - The Custom Shows Feature
PowerPoint Custom Shows feature allows you to create any number of slide shows from a single presentation. For example, a presentation might contain all the information there is to know about a company, what it does, how it functions, its employees, and so on. But presenting all that information in a single slide show might not be appropriate for every audience.
Custom Shows lets you create a unique slide show that's a subset of the slides in the entire presentation geared towards a specific audience. Thus, you needn't create new presentation files for each slide show that uses slides that are already part of the original presentation. Particularly for large presentation files, this can save valuable disk space, file-transfer time, and so on.
In this exercise, you'll create and run a custom slide show.
