The Create and Modify Constraints module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Create Constraints
- Modify Constraints
- Test Constraints for Performance implications
Exercise 1- Create Constraints
In this exercise, you will learn the following in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 R2:
- Implement Primary key and Foreign key constraints
- Implement Unique Key Constraint
- Implement Check Constraint
- Implement Default and Null Constraints
Exercise 2 - Modify Constraints
In this task, you will modify the Check Constraints on the table PracticeLabs in the AdventureWorksDW2012 database. To modify a constraint, you need to first drop the constraint and recreate the constraint with new definition.
Exercise 3 – Test Constraints for Performance Implications
In this exercise, you will test the constraints for performance implications.
