Exercise 1 - Configuring Server Level Settings
In this exercise, you will perform the tasks required to manage server level settings.
An installation of SQL Server is also known as an instance. If you have more than one instance of SQL Server installed on a server, then you need to configure settings individually for each instance. The configurations for all instances are considered as server level settings.
Exercise 2 - Configuring Database Mail
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 has an inbuilt ability to send database mails to the SMTP servers. This helps SQL Server based database applications to communicate with the users through this email system which provides features like scalability, security and reliability.
In this exercise, you will perform the tasks required to configure database email.
