Introduction
The Configure Sites module provides you with the instruction and server hardware to develop your hands on skills in the defined topics. This module includes the following exercises:
- Installing Replica Domain Controllers
- Create Active Directory Sites
Exercise 1 - Installing Replica Domain Controllers
Most organizations can get by with a single Active Directory Domain for easier administration. However, if the company has multiple locations which are geographically dispersed, the administrator can deploy sites to efficiently manage user logons and control replication of Active Directory data between domain controllers.
Exercise 2 - Create Active Directory Sites
For large organizations, an Active Directory domain can span geographical locations which is mapped to an Active Directory site. Creating sites allow an administrator to control replication of Active Directory data between domain controllers.
In this procedure, you will create two additional Active Directory Sites then move PLABDM01 and PLABSA01 to their respective sites.
