Lab Duration

Exercise 1 - About SmartArt
Adding things like shapes and clipart to your slides can be a way to create some visual appeal in your presentations. But a great way to add visual appeal while better conveying the meaning of slide text is through PowerPoint's SmartArt feature. SmartArt mainly uses text to create graphics diagrams that illustrate relationships among items of information.
In this exercise, you'll convert bulleted lists to SmartArt, including a process diagram.
Exercise 2 - SmartArt Charts
You can use PowerPoint's SmartArt feature to create charts. One very common type of chart that's a favorite of PowerPoint presentations is the organization, or "org," chart. Organization charts are typically used to illustrate the structure of a company, institution, and so on. However, they can also be useful in working out structural relationships when writing computer programs or even tracing family genealogies.
In this exercise, you'll create an organization chart, add shapes to it, change its layout, and format it.
Exercise 3 - Working with Multiple Slide Masters
PowerPoint contains other important formatting options, including creating and working with multiple slide masters, and page setup options.
In this exercise, you'll create new slide masters and apply a slide-master layout to selected slides.
