Overview

A stateful firewall can detect and block packets that arrive out of order. However, attackers knowing how the communication steps work can still perform attacks through it. In this lab, we demonstrate how to perform a SYN DoS attack through a stateful firewall. This will be done by walking you through a hypothetical scenario where an attacker will exploit a router in the local Starbunks breakfast shop and launch their attack from there.
