What brought you to teach on Cybrary:
I am always seeking great and affordable educational resources. When I came across Cybrary while looking for a refresher course on Risk Management Frameworks to help maintain my PMP certification, I was hooked. Kelly Handerhan’s simple and straight forward means of delivering valuable knowledge sold me on Cybrary. After completing Kelly’s Risk Management Framework course, as I was scouting around on the website, I noticed under the Community menu, “Teach on Cybrary – Be an Instructor” I applied, passed the audition, and I am now a Cybrary Instructor!
If you plan to take a PMI certification exam, then this course is for you. This class teaches the importance of carefully planning for and studying for PMI certification exams and specifically the Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification and Certified Associate in Project Management certification exams. It covers why people fail PMI certification exams and provides proven suggestions for how to study, what to study, the eligibility period allocated to take the exam, how long to study for the exam prior to taking it, what to do prior to the exam, audits, what exam day is like, and what to do upon failing the exam. It also covers what taking the actual PMI PMP exam is like and provides suggestions on how best to apply to take it, and processes the instructor used to pass the PMP exam on his first sitting.
My education and experience in Cyber Security come from my working at Microsoft for over 20 years. I worked on many security projects at Microsoft including security reviews of processes, systems, and software including all of Microsoft’s 1,200+ labs worldwide.
Interests in Cyber Security:
My interests in Cyber Security goes back, way back before I started working at Microsoft over 20 years ago. A friend of mine somehow got his PC infected with a virus which most likely came from one of the many Computer Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) he was connecting to.
