"I have my CISSP, CISM, PMP, and am ITIL Certified with over 15 years of IT experience with a wide variety of specialization in securing fully operational production environments. I have extensive experience in deploying and managing secure operating environments ensuring NIST compliance, and I have engineered solutions for secure unclassified network access with an emphasis on allowing least privileges and extensive auditing capabilities."

What brought you to teaching on Cybrary:

"The platform has always been interesting to me so I thought maybe I could find a way to contribute to it."

Tell us a little bit about your course:

"The proliferation of online marketplaces and the increased ease of using secure applications to submit payments has made the understanding of PCI regulations a necessity for professionals throughout organizations. Information Technology professionals will most likely be exposed to having to operate and secure a payment card environment." This course will explore all of the PCI requirements and touch on how they can be satisfied outright or via compensating controls. Upon completion of this course, students will obtain a deep understanding of how payment cards are processed, determine what is considered in scope for an assessment, and differentiate between compliance levels. This course is meant to help prepare your organization to navigate all of the pitfalls that are associated with becoming a PCI Compliant company. Upon completion, the student will understand the PCI compliance mandates and how to properly prepare your environment so that you may successfully pass an audit.

Your Experience in Cyber Security:

"Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Information Security, my current research is centered around providing a risk assessment methodology that can be applied to small businesses to help them make quantifiable risk-based decisions."

Interests in Cyber Security:

"Outside of the previously mentioned research interests, I also have interests in both red team and blue team activities."
