Hello Cybrary Members,First, we are appreciative that you have decided to join our community. We cannot survive without members, and we are working very hard to make your learning experience here as excellent as possible. The training on Cybrary is designed by our education team as well as the Subject Matter Experts who teach here. Our classes are designed to prepare you for the certification exam, as well as build your skill set in that topic.Cybrary was started because we believe, strongly, that education should be free for everyone, and not just accessible to those who can afford to pay for it. This belief is one that many across the world share. For example, Khan Academy, Codecademy and Coursera are all expanding their impact very nicely. As these websites reach further, the world benefits.When it comes to the IT and Cyber Security industries, too many people are affected negatively because they cannot afford training. These types of training classes are often very expensive. For example, if someone wants to learn Malware Analysis, because it will help them advance in their security career, they typically can expect to pay $3,000 - $5,000 US Dollars. If that price is too steep, then they may not be able to advance in their career.Through years of experience in the IT training industry, we have personally seen many people who want to break into the IT field. Among these, we have seen failure and loss, because of the cost of training. For example, someone who has the desire and capability to get into the field, but they are supporting a family and can't afford to pay for training, so it never happens for them. Another, a person who believes that they want to get into the field, makes the investment even though they may barely be able to afford it. They then realize shortly after, that the skill set simply doesn't fit with them, and that their investment was a poor one.Once again, we strongly believe that everyone should have open access to learning, and since Information Technology and Cyber Security happened to be the industry that we operate in and love, we decided to make the investment to build a free community for learning.The founding team of Cybrary has many years of experience in the IT training industry, but we know that nothing is ever perfect. Therefore, we highly encourage your feedback and suggestions.
