The concept here is similar to the one I submitted here, Recommended: Strong Passwords Technique.

The only difference is that this one is for Android. In Android, we must install the app capable of calculating the hash value of text or file.

This app is the Hash Droid by Hobby One

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hobbyone.HashDroid&hl=en

Hash Droid is a free utility to calculate a hash from a given text or from a file stored on the device.

In this application, the available hash functions are : Adler-32, CRC-32, Haval-128, MD2, MD4, MD5, RIPEMD-128, RIPEMD-160, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, Tiger and Whirlpool. The calculated hash can be copied to the clipboard to be reused elsewhere.

Example procedures to log-in to my Cybrary account in my Android device

a) Preparing the password

1) Run Hash Droid

1

2) Select and set the algorithm

2

3) Input or enter the text or file to hash. Tap on Calculate

3

4) Tap on Copy checksum to clipboard

b) Logging-in to my account

3) Dip the finger about 2 to 3 seconds in the password box (Paste button will appear)

c) The same technique I was using with other Android apps that needs password like the NoteCipher. That’s all. I hope this could help secure your accounts using your Android device.
