During last few months you might have observed an increase in phishing and scam attacks.
So… read the guidelines below and don’t get caught.
Be a little skeptical of the following:
Recent email scam informs you that parcel was not delivered and is awaiting pick up. You are requested to print label and pick up a parcel in the office.
You are also threatened if the parcel is not received within 3 working days that the courier company has the right to claim compensation from you. It is holding the amount of some money for each day of storage.
The goal of the communication is to make you click on link. Your PC could be infected after opening the link.

I do 100% agree with @ZJELKO‘s statement; unless, 1) you are in this field, or 2) have lead a sheltered life such as the Pennsylvanian Dutch, Amish, or Mennonites; finally 3) a “severely”….how to put this nice on here…. “technologically impaired” individual. Let’s face it, we all know at least one. Those three reasons are the only ones I would except if you fell for one of those.
I’m a combat veteran; just got out of the military this year, and we drilled on the basics constantly. It was a simple philosophy, “Keeping refreshed on the basics will never hurt, and only help.” It is entirely possible that someone found their way here because they were a victim of such a scam and wanted to learn what they could do to be better protected and to understand exactly how it happened.
So thank you @PREZZIO, for bring those fundamentals back into focus for us.
