I’ve always had a big interest in the IT field, but never knew how to get started or what to study. Over the past two weeks, I’ve used four websites:

  1. Cybrary
  2. Professor Messor
  3. Testout
  4. Transcender

Going between multiple websites can really open your eyes and mind to different teaching styles and clearly reinforce what’s being taught.

  • Professor Messor is also a free site like Cybrary with video taught lessons with live chats and webinars.
  • Testout is a paid site and it follows the CompTia A+ complete study guide, which is nice if you love reading.
  • Lastly, Transcender is also a paid site, but it gives you many practice tests and questions geared towards what you would see on the real exams.

After studying for about a week and a half, I took my 801 part of the A+ Certification and passed, so I highly recommend these sites to study from!

Thanks and good luck!

  1. Also came across this. Is 6 months enough time, probably not? https://www.troyhunt.com/get-more-awesome-pluralsight-content/

But any content that is good content (and this includes Cybrary obviously) is worth the time to investigate.

  2. You could also try http://www.careeracademy.com/?LDP#_l_9d

you´ll get unlimited IT, CyberSec, Project Management and Business Skills Certification Training. But it´s a paid site actually.

  3. CYBRARY BY FAR IS THE BEST!!! THANKS CYBRARY AND ALL THOSE WHO PUT TIME AND EFFORT!!

  4. Another one I have come across recently is http://www.securitytube.net

A lot of interesting stuff here, my only gripe is it lacks the polished finish that Cybrary has.

I like Cybrary best – it was a site I was not aware of, but boy did I sit up and take notice when I did. I told all my geeky friends about it.

There is something for everyone, and there is completeness in a lot of the courses, useful as well for jumping in to certain areas you want to know about.

    So thanks guys

  5. There are other good sites but so far I like Cybrary the best. I enjoy the daily content as much as the courses and the forums contain lots of good info too.
